Bollywood over the past so many decades has under gone major transformation says Kailash Adhikari

Once in a while, an engaging and intriguing thriller drama arrives on the screen and impresses the audience. Karm Yuddh is one such show in recent memory. As expected, the Kailash Adhikari produced and Ravi Adhikari directed series is packed with intense drama, revenge, bloodshed (but less), suspense, love and romance.
Karm Yuddh begins by building up the story as a family revenge drama, where Vardhaan Roy’s (Rajesh Khattar) second wife, Indrani Roy (Paoli Dam), is leaving no stone unturned to become the chairman of the Roy Group of Industries, which was allotted to her husband, who is suffering from a paralysed body after a huge accident. On the other hand, the big brother, Bhisham Roy (Satish Kaushik), is using his power to get to that chair by hook or crook.
We spoke exclusively with the producer of Karm Yuddh Kailash Adhikari on his extravagant venture.
- How was the experience working in the series?
Karm Yuddh is a huge canvas show with an ensemble cast, thus, working on this project has been a completely different experience. We have shot over 90 locations which was a mammoth task in itself. The entire production team and all departments were literally on their feet 24/7 to bring this mega canvas in front of the audience. Immense amount of detailing has gone into each and every shot in terms of it’s location, production design, costumes etc. This show is a result of an entire team effort.
- As a producer how much was your contribution during film making ?
Right from it’s conception to final delivery a producer has to be involved in each and every stage of the production. I personally believe that director is the captain of the ship and it is his/ her vision that the audiences see. Having said that a producer’s role is of making sure that the product gets all it’s elements in place for the director to express his vision properly.
- Tell us about your experience with the star cast?
Karm Yuddh is blessed to have a stellar star cast with Ashutosh Rana, Satish Kaushik, Paoli Dam, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Rajesh Khattar etc and it was a wonderful learning experience for me as a producer to be able to work with them. When you work with a great star cast who are absolute brilliant performers your responsibility as a producer doubles. I would just like to say that myself and Ravi were just blessed to have such stalwarts being associated with us on our project. It is always an enriching experience of working with such actors.
- What do you wanna say about changing Dynamics of Bollywood?
Bollywood over the past so many decades has under gone major transformation and each time it has been able to successfully reinvent itself. No doubt that the current year has been challenging for Bollywood but I am pretty sure that it will come out victorious. Having said that, makers will have to adopt to a new style of storytelling which will give the audience a different theatrical experience.
Students from INIFD and London School of Trends set to showcase at New York Fashion Week ‘22

Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) and London School of Trends (LST) will be celebrating the creativity of emerging Indian student designers by presenting “INDIAN FASHION TRUNK” at New York Fashion Week for the 7th Season on February 12, 2022, at 7.00 p.m. (EST) at Ziegfeld Ballroom, New York, USA.
Anil Khosla, CEO, INIFD, said, “Our aim is to provide our students true exposure and skills to excel in their careers. The collaboration of INIFD X LST at NYFW is a testimony of the same. I’m incredibly proud of all the student designers who worked hard to source the required materials and create a beautiful collection despite facing difficult situations professionally and personally due to the pandemic.”
The young talent has proved their mettle in these uncertain times by not only adapting themselves to the new normal but also bringing out their best creative prowess which will get all the attention at New York Fashion Week 2022.

Mentored by Fashion Expert Gintare Jankuniene, the Indian Fashion Trunk will be presenting 52 garments; all of which reflect their own personal narratives.
Ritu Kochhar, Director, INIFD, said that “Indian Fashion Trunk designs depict our rich culture, indigenous craftsmanship, art, design, originality, textiles from different states of India. Its vibrant colors with rich deep hues and fabrics are one-of-a-kind due largely to the craftsmanship that makes India a powerhouse source for fashion. The Indian Tile industry, ranks in the Top 3 in the World in Tile manufacturing and continues to grow at a steady 15 per cent per annum. Sunshine Tiles Company Pvt. Salient features of the Plant and some key highlights are:
A separate legal entity will be formed as Sunshine Vitrious Tiles P Ltd ,who sell its product under the brand name of Sunhearrt brand.
The plant will be operational as the first largest plant in the Indian ceramic industry in a total area of 99 acres.
The plant will use the latest machinery to produce 51,000 square meters of glazed vitrified tiles per day.
A total of three production lines will be fitted in the plant periodically, the first of which will be operational in a period of six months from today.
The plant will have a total investment of Rs 270 crore in a phased manner and is expected to generate annual revenue of Rs 399 crore.
The main objective of setting up this plant will be to cater to the export market.
This plant will provide employment to the people, directly, as well as indirectly as per the estimates shown below and several members belonging to the families of those people will get their livelihood through this plant.
Direct Employment will be provided to 750+ people which includes, around 576 labourers, 100 semi-qualified staff, 50 qualified staff and 24 office staff and professional talents.
Indirect benefits include: Goods – To meet the production demand of this plant, every supplier of raw materials, consumables, as well as, the utilities required by the plant will be developed which will indirectly provide jobs to many people. Services: In order to meet the demand for production of this plant, agencies will be developed to provide services such as transport, banking, etc. to the plant which will indirectly provide jobs to many people.
Plant Will contribute to India’s GDP. By way of GST & Forex inflow.
